About Institution

The CIHSR, keeping in line with the objective to develop undergraduate and post graduate teaching programs started the College of Nursing in the year 2011 which caters to the training needs of not only Nagaland but the rest of the North East. The College of Nursing, CIHSR is the first nursing college in the
State of Nagaland.
The Indian Nursing Council in July 2011 inspected the institution for the General Nursing & Midwifery and the Post Basic B. Sc Nursing courses and granted permission to start both the programs with annual intake of 30 students in the GNM program and 20 students in the PBBSC Nursing program. The College has been listed in the Indian Nursing Council’s list of recognized institutions for B. Sc Nursing (Post Basic) and GNM courses.
The Assam Nurses’, Midwives’ and Health Visitors’ Council also inspected and gave permission for affiliation of both the programs. The GNM program will be examined by the ANMHVC. The Post Basic Nursing program is affiliated to the Nagaland University which inspected and gave permission to conduct the program.
