About Institution

The first Marine Institution in Coimbatore was founded in 2001 in the name of "Coimbatore Marine Center". In 2003, the name was changed to 'Coimbatore Marine College'. Since then a phenomenal progress has been made by introducing various DGS approved marine courses with state-of-the-art infrastructure.

"The college is approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India and affiliated to Indian Maritime University, Chennai. Accredited by ICRA – Grade I (Outstanding).

The CMC's strategic location on the National highway, on the arterial Pollachi Main Road at Myleripalayam, about 12 kms away from Railway station and 20 kms from the Airport makes it an ideal destination for learning.
