Burdwan Medical College
(Affiliated By West Bengal University of Health Sciences,Kolkata).
Completed its services to the people for more than 100 years catering service to the people of this district, adjacent districts, i.e. Hoogly, Murshidabad, Birbhum, Purulia, partly Bankura and even sometimes people of Jharkhand State & the State of Bihar are attending this hospital. Established in the year of 1969 by the University of Burdwan under the style Burdwan University Medical College. Taken over by the Government of West Bengal on 4th August, 1976. Renamed as Burdwan Medical College.
