Late Ramesh Warpudkar Arts, Commerce & Science College Sonpeth, Dist. Parbhani, Maharashtra - 431510 ( Affiliated to SRTM University Nanded ). got established in 1993 with the basic purpose of imparting higher education to rural masses in general and girls in particular. In the decade of 1990, the higher educational institutions were in less numbers in rural areas. It resulted in depriving the number of students from higher education. The institution began its first unit i.e. Late Ramesh Warpudkar Arts and Commerce college, Sonpeth keeping in view the need of people of the area. Ours is the first and the only unit in Sonpeth Taluka to impart higher education in traditional disciplines. Later on the persistent demand on the part of parents forced us to begin science unit in 2008, junior college in 2010 and High School i.e. Rajabhau Kadam High School at Vita village in 2008. Now in totality our institution has three units. Our senior unit has two acres of land having its own building. Our college is permanently affiliated to S.R.T.M University, Nanded and it is included under 2(f) and 12(b) of ugc act and receiving various grants under eleventh plan of ugc. We have UGC sanctioned career oriented course in English i.e. Communicative English, language laboratory and network resource centre (NRC) for Students.The College has well equipped science laboratories. We provide the facility of gym and other sports equipments for the all round development of students. We also provide Xerox facility to students. For the students who couldn’t continue their education after 10th or 12th, the college has started YCMU’s distance learning centre. Thus through this mode most of the students of the area are being brought in the main channel of higher education. The teaching staff of the college is well learned and possesses Ph. D. Degree as highest educational qualification. All the employees of the college have their own quarters in the campus itself.
