Sandeep Singh was the top-scorer in the first two editions of the HILs, scoring 11 goals in each tournament.

Struggling star Sandeep Singh on Thursday vowed to score maximum number of goals in the upcoming Hockey India League to help his side Jaypee Punjab Warriors win the title.

Sandeep was the top scorer in the first two editions of the HILs, scoring 11 goals in each tournament.

While he played for Dabur Mumbai Magicians in the inaugural edition, he competed for Jaypee Punjab Warriors last season.

"I am currently working on various skills, sharpening myself in penalty corner and trying some new shots. However, hockey is a team game, where everyone needs to contribute to win a match. Last season, we lost in the finals so this year, my only aim is to score maximum goals and lift the trophy for my team," Sandeep said after a training session.
