About Institution

The College is established in a well reputed part of South Kashmir known as Newa (Pulwama). It is not necessary to say that the village Newa is connected with District Headquarter Pulwama by a link road, but by the existence of a B.Ed College in the said village we have proved that Pulwama itself is connected with Newa by a link road commonly known as Newa-Pulwama College Road. The College campus is surrounded by hills and green fields. The area is famous because a messenger of Hazrat Shah Hamdaan named Hazrat Syed Sultan Fakur-Ud-Din’s (R.A) tomb is in the heart of the village and that too at the site where from roads are connecting tourist resort Yusmarg, Chrarisharief, Pakherpora, Shopian, Rambagh, Chadoora, Shaadi marg and Pampore town. The village Newa is also famous for KAH-BONI (Eleven Chinars) which still exist though in dilapidated condition on Newa-Natipora and Newa-Kakapora roads. The College is 1st established Institution of J&K Multipurpose Public Missionary Educational Society, Pulwama. The later is duly registered society by the registrar of societies J&K government. The College is duly recognized by the J&K Higher Education Department and is affiliated with University of Kashmir. Besides the College stands recognized / affiliated with University Grants Commission (UGC).\
The College was established in the year 2003, however the candidates were allotted in the year 2004. The College is having a Lab School (Career Care Institute of Education 10+2) in the same complex which facilitates the Student Teachers in undergoing practical training.
