Robert Blumofe is Executive Vice President of the Akamai Platform Division responsible for operating and evolving the distributed system underlying all Akamai products and enabling the success and innovation of customers, partners and network operators. Dr. Blumofe also leads the teams responsible for the global strategy and deployment of Akamai's network infrastructure, as well as Akamai’s internal IT department.He receive Paris Kanellakis Award in 2013 for contributions to robust parallel and distributed computing. They developed provably efficient randomized “work-stealing” scheduling algorithms, and Cilk, a small set of linguistic primitives for programming multithreaded computations.
