Akira Yoshino (born 30 January 1948) is a Japanese chemist. Fellow, Asahi Kasei Corporation Inventor of lithium-ion battery (LIB) used for cellular phone and notebook computer etc.He won Charles Stark Draper Prize in 2014 for rechargeable battery pioneers who laid the groundwork for today’s lithium ion battery.
