AR Engineering college, Villupuram was established in 2008. The college is affiliated with Anna University of Technology, Chennai. The college has grown considerably under the dynamic leadership of its Vice Chairman Sri.M.Kuberan and Principal Dr.V.Arumugham, spear heading all academic and non academic activities. The college provides various courses in multiple disciplines.

Their vision is to develop eminent and ethical leaders in society and to facilitate transformation of students into good human beings, responsible citizens and competent professionals,focusing on assimilation,generation and dissemination of knowledge. The college mission is to develop manpower with enriched knowledge in the fields of engineering and technology, and inculcating ethics and discipline thereby constantly upgrading the quality of education and to provide a high quality educational experience to the undergraduate students in a diverse learning environment by promoting the values that prepare students to lead lives of personal integrity in a global society.
