About Institution

Malineni Lakshmaiah Women's Engineering College is established in the year 2008. It is a self financing institution which owes its foundation to the bold and inspired vision of Malineni Perumallu Educational Society, Singarayakonda. It is the 1st Integrated Campus in Andhra Pradesh.

The institution is ideally located in a vast expanse of 35 acres of land on the out skirts of GUNTUR city at a distance of about 8 Kms from the city centre. The departmental buildings are located in close proximity each other with wide open spaces all around. The playfields and other student and staff amenities are within working distances from the faculty blocks.

The college was established for providing technical manpower initially in the fields of Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical& Electronics Engineering. Since then the college has continuously evolved itself to meet the changes in the field of Engineering. Postgraduate Courses in M.B.A in 2009. Later in 2012 M.Tech E.C.E(VLSI), Computer Science and Engineering have been introduced. The College is recognized by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

The College has about 1500 students, more than 100 faculty and around 75 technical and supporting staff. The hallmark of the campus is the good facilities which cater to the academic and extra curricular interests of the students. The campus provides ample opportunities for developing extra curricular skills which include Students Chapters of IEEE, 24x7 Internet facility, sports & games. The college has revised and updated the course contents and laboratory equipments from time to time to keep pace with the changes in technology and in meeting the growing needs of the industry. In this regard various schemes have been in operation over the years, the requisite funding has been obtained from both state and central government agencies besides the fund provided by the management.
