About Institution

Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust was formed with the avowed objective of imparting quality technical education, especially to the weaker sections of society. To cherish this objective and to join hands with the policy of the Government of Puducherry in enhancing technical education and also to meet the needs of our Nation, the Trust established Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College in the year 1999. The institution has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to the Pondicherry University, a central university. It is the first institution in the Puducherry Union Territory which got an ISO 9001:2000 certification and has been accredited by NBA-AICTE, New Delhi. The college has been accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ grade. It is worthy to note that Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering college is the first engineering institution in the entire Union Territory of Puducherry which had obtained the NAAC accreditation that too with `A’ grade. Within a short span of time the institution has attained an enviable reputation by possessing all the hallmarks of a premier institution in the pursuit of excellence.
