About Institution

Akka Mahadevi Mahila Mahavidyalaya was established by Shanti Vardhak Education Society in year 1971 & The socity was founded as far back as 1956 at Bhalki by Param Poojya Dr. Channabasava Plattadevaru and Sri Bheemanna Khandre to cater to the educational needs of the people of this region.
When a separate College for women had been a long felt need of the people of this region and the society came forward to shoulder the responsibility of starting this institution for women in the year 1971. This was a pioneering effort of Shanti Vardhak Education Society to create more facilities for spreading higher education for women in the district.
Akka mahadevi Mahila Mahavidyalaya , Bidar is situated in the heart of the Bidar city . It has a huge campus with well qualified Faculty members . The college offers various courses at PUC & Degree Level with Commerce , Arts and Science Stream.The college provide various central facilities to the students .Due to its central location in the city the tranportation facility is easily abalible from each part of the city.The college is very close to various Banks & ATM centers around the college .
This College has now completed 41 years successfully with a record of good results. It has experienced teaching staff, rich library, well equipped laboratories, and necessary amenities for poor and needy students . The College is affiliated to RU. Board , Banglore & Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur. The College is being run in its own building which stands on a 5 acre plot in the vicinity of New Bus Stand.
