About Institution

Our ex president Hon. Balasaheb who was on managing bodies of several educational institutions, had a first hand experience. He realised that "East Khandesh", our region needs an educational institution with a difference in a sense. There was an urgent need to open the doors of higher education for WOMEN, specially those who are under-privileged for various reasons-early marriage, widowhood, deserted women etc. To serve this class, he started the college in 1989 which is affiliated to the Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, Mumbai (S.N.D.T. Women's University, Mumbai.) The S.N.D.T. Women's University was established by the great social reformer and educationalist Maharshee Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1916.

Vision

The institution's motto is "Vidya Para Devata" i.e. Knowledge is Supreme deity which is a guiding principle to the management .The objective is Empowerment of Women through Education,by keeping pace with the emerging trends in education.

Mission

The Mission of the institution is Empowerment of women through higher education and this has been the single minded mission of our institution ever since its establishment.
It continues to be the philosophy and driving force of the institution with socio-cultural changes and technological advances.
The goals and objectives of the institution are being continuously reinterpreted to make them relevant to the needs of the women in the context of prevailing trends in the society.
