Arya Kanya Gurukul College of Education (AKGCE), Karnal was established is 2008. The educational institute is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institute imparts teacher’s training through its undergraduate level programme, which is one-year full time programme. It is offered as per the strict guidelines of the University. The college provides a wide range of modern facilities to ensure all-round development of its students.The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University. The university was established in 1956. It is a multi-faculty centre of higher education, and has grown up as one of the premier centers for advanced study and research in the region. It is located on the western bank of Brahm Sarovar in the holy city of Kurukshetra, the land of the historical Mahabharata. The university is a member of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Apart from being recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Kurukshetra University has also been graded with 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
