We are the parents’ association for Solihull School and the good news is that if your child goes to the School, then you are already a member.
Over the many years of the Association’s history our aims have evolved into three main areas.
Perhaps the most obvious one is that we raise money for the School. In recent years we have significantly contributed to the Archive and the recording studio in the David Turnbull Music School. Over the years we have helped the Cubs, the Air Cadets, the trampolining club, the fishing club, DofE, the Chapel, the music department, the art department - the list goes on.
For the school year 2013-2014 we raised enough money with your help to provide, amongst other things:-
1 )New furniture for the Snowdonia Cottage - a boon for all our pupils after a busy day on the mountain
2) A trailer for the new mountain bike club - a new club that we think will be very popular
3 )Equipment for the ever expanding and very popular ski club
4) An ice machine for the treatment room in the Pavillion
5 )10 Digital drawing tables for the art department
6 )Artifacts for the classics department
7 )A laser cutter for the Junior School DT department
8) A diesal generator for the CCF/DofE to power lighting and charge the all important radios
9) A new height adjustable lecturn for the chapel
10 )Recording equipment for the psychology department
11 )A sculpture for the new and exciting sixth from block
As you can see from this we really do try to make a difference to all the clubs and associations, large and small to help the School continue with the depth and breadth of the experiences it offers to it's pupils.
