Yumnam Sanathoi Devi is one among the few Wushu players in the country. A resident of Yairipok Top Chingtha village in Thoubal district of Manipur, she won a bronze medal at the recently concluded Incheon Asian Games. Her next targets are to win gold medals at 2015 World Wushu Championship and Rio 2016 Olympics. Sanathoi took up Wushu, a traditional Chinese martial arts in 2003 under the guidance of Maibam Surbala Devi and later under Moirangthem Ibomcha Meitei.She received Arjuna Awards in 2015 for Wushu.
