Patricia Arquette (born April 8, 1968)[1] is an American actress. Her film appearances include Tony Scott's True Romance (1993), Tim Burton's Ed Wood (1994), David O. Russell's Flirting with Disaster (1996), David Lynch's Lost Highway (1997), Stephen Frears's The Hi-Lo Country (1998), and Martin Scorsese's Bringing Out The Dead (1999). In 2003 she played Kissin' Kate Barlow in the Disney film Holes.
From 2002 until 2013, she played Olivia, the mother in Richard Linklater's Boyhood, which premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. For this role, Arquette won the BAFTA, Critics' Choice, Golden Globe, and SAG Awards for Best Supporting Actress in 2015. In addition, she received nominations for the Indie Spirit and Academy Award; as well as winning the Los Angeles Film Critics, New York Film Critics, and NSFC awards.
