Alan Alda (born January 28, 1936) is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and author.He is currently a Visiting Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Journalism and a member of the advisory board of The Center for Communicating Science and the Future of Life Institute.He serves on the board of the World Science Festival and is a judge for Math-O-Vision.He received Common Wealth Award of Distinguished Service in 2013 for Literature category.
