Peter K. Gregersen  is a geneticist who heads the Robert S. Boas Center for Genomics and Human Genetics at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research in Manhasset, New York.He received his MD from Columbia University in 1976.

Dr. Gregersen and his team conduct genome-wide scans to identify polymorphisms that are associated with rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory conditions such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Myasthenia Gravis.He received Crafoord Prize in 2013 for their discoveries concerning the role of different genetic factors and their interactions with environmental factors in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and clinical management of rheumatoid arthritis.
