Jaap Sinninghe Damsté (January 1 1959 ) is a Dutch paleontologist.He is a professor of molecular paleontology related to the University of Utrecht.He received the Dr. AH Heineken Prize for Environmental Sciences in 2014 for his tremendous contributions to the discovery and development of ‘chemical fossiles’, which help us reconstruct the history of the earth’s biosphere.
