Vijay K. Bhargava (born September 22, 1948) is a researcher and Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He served the department as its Head for 5 years (July 2003-June 2008). Before moving to UBC, Dr. Bhargava was a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Victoria.In 2015 he was awarded the Izaak Walton Killam Award for his contribution to the field of engineering.
