Dr. Kayo Inaba is Professor and Dean over Laboratory of Immunobiology, Department of Animal Development and Physiology, Division of Systemic Life Science, Graduate School of Biostudies, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University, Japan. She is also a board member of the Japanese Society for Immunology. Dr. Inaba is one of the world leading scientists of dendritic cell research, and her work has been published and cited in many international journals. Her recent work includes Functional comparison of the mouse DC-SIGN, SIGNR1, SIGNR3 and Langerin, C-type lectins and Transport of Peptide-MHC Class II Complexes in Developing Dendritic Cells, collaborated with the Rockefeller University.She won the L'Oréal-UNESCO Awards for Women in Science in 2014 for her research on dendritic cellswhich supports eminent women in science throughout the world who are working in the life and physical sciences.
