S. P. Oswal is an Indian industrialist and the present head of the Vardhman Group of Companies. The Government of India honoured him in 2010, with the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, for his services to the fields of trade and industry. He was born on 1942 in Punjab, India. Mr. Oswal holds a Masters Degree in Commerce with Gold Medal from Panjab University and has over 44 years of experience in the textile industry. With his entrepreneurial drive, vision and leadership, the Vardhman Group in fact has the largest yarn manufacturing capacity in the country with over 8,50,000 spindles. It also has one of the largest fabric weaving plants and the most modern yarn and fabric processing facility in the country. The group now employs over 22,000 persons at its various plants spread across five States in the country. It is also known for its professional management and has a strong track record of performance.

group companies like Vardhman Holdings Ltd., Vardhman Yarns and Threads Ltd.,
