Dr. Harsh Kumar has done his MBBS (GOLD MEDA LLIST) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and MD (GOLD MEDALLIST) from Dr. R P Centre, AIIMS with Bodh Raj Sabharwal Medal (topped 2 sequential batches of MD ophthalmology at DR R P Centre). He also won the best Senior resident award at Dr. R P Centre AIIMS. He was formerly the President of Glaucoma Society of India (2010-12) & Additional Professor Glaucoma unit at Dr. R P Centre, AIIMS.

Dr. Kumar has over 66 publications in indexed journals, three books and innumerable chapters in various books to his credit mostly related to his extensive work in the field of Glaucoma. He has guided over 25 students in their thesis work related to Glaucoma. Dr. Kumar has nine laser procedures for glaucoma and anterior segment described for the FIRST TIME IN WORLD literature, one being cited in the Shields text book of Glaucoma.Got Padma Shree award in 2015 for her service in the field of Medical.
