Kailash Kher is an Indian pop-rock and sufi singer was born on 7 July 1973 in Uttar Pradesh. Kailash learned music from him in his childhood. He has sung in 18 Languages for Indian films, and in over 300 songs for Bollywood. Along with playback singing, Kailash had formed his band called ‘Kailasa. He was inspired by the Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the classical musician Pandit Kumar Gandharva. They remain his inspirations. He won Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu for the film Mirchi. Kailash also is active performer. His live performances are always hits. Kailash Kher came to fame with a song ‘Allaah Ke Bande’ from the film Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II.
Kailash Kher is a famous Indian Sufi singer and he has a typical Bollywood story. Some time he was struggling for a residence in Mumbai and living on Andheri railway station and now he is sensational singer of India. Along with playback singing, Kailash had formed his band called ‘Kailasa’.At the age of 14, Kher left home in search of a guru or an institution to further his musical training, and he embarked on years of classical and folk music study. He moved to Mumbai in the year 2001, where he began his foray into the music industry. He was not having a good footwear to wear and he used to walk in the Mumbai rains with the low price footwear and sounds “Chap Chap” due to water absorb in. Kailash had to struggle to get a chance in Bollywood. He got opportunity to sing a song for the movie Andaaz. In this movie his song “Rabba Ishq Na Hove” became much popular. His song “Allah ke Bande” from the obscure movie Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II became very popular and this song made him a popular singing star in Bollywood. By 2004, he had sung in 18 Indian languages for Indian films and more than 350 songs for the Hindi film industry and recorded more than five hundred radio and television advertising jingles. He won Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu for the film Mirchi. He was honoured with Padma Shri award for his music by Indian government in 2017.
