Paresh Rawal is an Indian film actor, thespian and politician known for his works notably in Bollywood and Telugu cinema. He was born on 30 May 1950 in Mumbai, India. He attended Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics,Vile Parle, Mumbai. He made his acting debut in 1984 through Bollywood film Holi in a small role. His major role was in 1986 blockbuster Naam. His career took big break after the super hit film Hera Pheri released in 2000 co-starring Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Tabu, he earned his first Filmfare Best Comedian Award for his performance. Apart from films he also worked for Television serials like Bante Bighadte and Chunauti aired in 1984-1985 on Doordarshan. He contested in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections from Bharatiya Janata Party and won the Ahmedabad East constituency. In 2014, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
