Vishal Veeru Devgan known as Ajay Devgan and sometimes spelt Ajay Devgn, is an Indian Bollywood actor, film director and producer. He is widely considered as one of the finest and most popular actors of Hindi cinema. He has won numerous awards, including two National Film Awards as Best Actor. He has been honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri in 2016. He is the son of director and action director Veeru Devgan. He was born on 2 April 1969 in New Delhi, India. Ajay Devgn made his debut with Phool Aur Kaante in year 1991. He won a Filmfare Best Debut Award for that film. Then he starred in Jigar with Karishma Kapoor. In 1993 he made a action film Ek Hi Raasta then Platform. In 1994 he made film like Dilwale, Suhaag and Vijaypath which run well on box office.

He made a film Company in year 2002 for which he again got nominated for Filmfare Best Actor Award and won Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. It went well at box office. Then he released Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi. Later on the same year he also did a film The Legend of Bhagat Singh which did not went well but gave him a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance as well as his second National Film Award for Best Actor. Then he came in a negetive role in film Deewangee. For this role he got Filmfare Best Villain Award, Star Screen Award Best Villain and Zee Cine Award Best Actor in a Negative Role.
