Prof. (Dr.) Yog Raj Sharmais presently the Chief of Dr. RajendraPrasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi since March, 2014, Professor and Consultant- Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon and also Advisor (Ophthalmology)Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MH&FW), New Delhi and Director, World Health Organisation (WHO) SEA Centre for Ophthalmology.  He isthe Chairman of the Task Force on Prevention and Control of Diabetic Retinopathy Groupand Co-Chairman of the National Task Force on Prevention of Blindness from Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) setupby MH&FW, Government of India.He got Padma Shri award in 2015 for the field of Medicine.
