Bruce D. Roth (b. Jun 1954) is an American chemist who invented atorvastatin, better known as Lipitor, which has become the largest-selling drug in pharmaceutical history He is the recipient of the 2013 Perkin Medal,widely acknowledged as the highest honor in American industrial chemistry.
