Angela was born in Mexico City, grew up in the great state of Texas, and recently moved from San Francisco to Brooklyn. As a child, she loved reading books and making a mess creating pictures. She’s delighted to still be doing both professionally. Angela has worked with numerous publishers including Dial, Abrams, Bloomsbury, Candlewick, Roaring Brook, and Henry Holt.She received Pura Belpré Honor Award in 2014 for Maria Had a Little Llama.
