About Institution

Balanga basically an agrarian belt of Puri District of Odisha was away from finding a place in educational map of the State. It was only in the year 1980 that the elites of nearby vicinity dreamt of an institution of higher learning in Balanga. Dr. Dayanidhi Nayak, a homeopathic practitioner, who is worthy of his name, came forwarded with the proposal to donate a piece of invaluable land at Balighai for the said noble purpose. The sincere effort of Harihar Pati, Narayan Pati, Brundaban Behera and Dillip Kumar Pattanaik bore fruit in shape of the establishment of this college in the year 1980. The college was shifted to its present seat in the year 1982. But some other causes prevented the college to get government concurrence till 1986. A sea change had already taken place in the field of Educational policy and with much difficulty it could manage to be recognized for +2 Arts and +2 Commerce w.e.f the year 1986. The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha extended its affiliation with 128 seats in Arts and 64 seats in Commerce . Gradually +3 Arts with 128 seats (1989), extension of seats in +2 Arts from 128-256 (1990) & 256-320 (1991), +2 Science (1992), +3 Commerce (1993), +3 Science PCM (2000), +3 Science CBZ (2005) classes were opened.

To offer effective learning and knowledge-sharing opportunities to students by delivering course in Natural Science, Social Science and Commerce Courses followed by conferences, seminars and workshops.
