Bhagat Kabir College of Education is located in the heart of Kathua city near railway station Kathua. It was established in the year 2003, with affiliation to the University of Jammu. It has the privilege of its location on main road side and near the railway station at a distance of 85 kms from the University Campus towards Punjab and at a distance of 24 km from Pathankot (Punjab). It is at the welcome gate way of J&K state.
The College has a huge building comprising of class rooms, a huge library and a well equipped computer lab. The College offers host of facilities to the students. Hindi as well as English is the medium of instruction for teaching. Above all, the College has a friendly management committee always alive to the needs of the students, staff and the society.
Bhagat Kabir College Of Education today possess an efficient infrastructure which includes spacious and well lit classrooms, Science laboratories and a language lab, library, computer room, recreation room, auditorium, and a spacious ground. The most recent addition is a hostel for women conveniently located in the college campus.
The location and environment of the college is well suited for the candidates and the study. The area of the college is quite free from any kind of pollution and social disturbances. It is unique in respect of pollution and distraction. It is mainly connected to the neighbouring states like Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, Rajasthan etc.
The College has a well-stocked library possessing a rich collection of books and journals that cover the B.Ed syllabus as well as reference books in various subjects.
We have 24hrs Broadband internet facility at the computer center.The college has a huge library. Presently the total number of books including the reference books in the library is 2000. Some foreign publications have also been added to the library. The College library has books in all teaching subjects along with large number of general and reference books. Besides the college subscribes 4 daily newspapers.
