Bharathiyar Arts and Science College for Women is run by "Sri Sakthi Educational Trust" a well known charitable trust in Attur. The aim of the trust is to provide value based higher education to rural women and develop confidence, communication and leadership skills. Thrust is put on humane personal development which will be a positive force in all walks of life with good discipline. Therefore we bringout programmes with the specific objective of imparting more knowledge, improving skills, developing better and positive attitude among students. The scope extends well beyond academic excellence by making better citizens of tomorrow.

The College is located at Deviyakurichi sprawling over a land area of 26 acres. Surrounded by greeny hillocks, the campus has a serence and eco friendly atmosphere which is very conductive for students to learn. Facilities in the campus meet the needs of students for curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities.The college has a highly motivated team of staff who transform the rural women into modern women bold enough to face every challenge in life with their triple arm method - Teaching, Research and Extension. The College has state of the art laboratories and a library having rare volume of books. The large play ground will cater to the needs of every student in physical education.
