National Association for the blind, which is working for comprehensive rehabilitation in medical, educational, training, employment and self employment for the blind persons at national level, is having its state Head Quarter for Maharashtra at Nashik. NAB Unit Maharashtra established in 1984, is registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 with Registration No. is E/460, Nashik. NAB (Unit Maharashtra) is also registered with Handicapped Act of Maharashtra State (Equal Rights, Opportunities & participation). It provides services to the blind all over the state of Maharashtra through its network of 18 district branches.
National Association for the Blind, Unit Maharashtra was established in 1984 with the hands of Late Shri Vijay Merchant, President NAB India. Mr. D.B. Sarda and Mr. Hemant Takle were the founder President and Hon. Gen. Secretary respectively.
To work towards an environment where each and every blind person of this country will lead a life up to his optimum potential and be so empowered as to be able to work towards growth and Development.
Reach out the unreached by providing educational and rehabilitation services to the disabled Brethren. Improve their Quality of life through empowerment and bring them in the main stream of society.
