Education can make Indians worthwhile insisted our beloved former President, great Indian scientist, good human being and the Indian pride Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. His aim was to make education reachable, flexible and feasible to all.
In his India Vision 2020 he has stated that education is one of the main sources that can transform our nation into a developed country and for that illiteracy should be eradicated.
Kalam wanted Indian education system to include skill based learning. “Creativity is the key to success in the future and primary education is where teachers can bring creativity in children at that level” was one of his famous education quotes.
According to him it is the responsibility of the educationists to build the capacities of the spirit of inquiry, creativity, entrepreneurial and moral leadership among students.
Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam loved to teach than being a scientist and a president and he served as a dedicated teacher till his last breath. His teaching inspired both youth and children and he often motivated them to think differently and do something for development of our nation.
On 28th July, 2015 Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi announced that the Higher Education and Skill Education Guarantee Scheme of Government will be named after Dr A P J Abdul Kalam as a tribute to the great man.
Until his last moment he strived hard for students and youngsters as teacher and a guide now it’s our responsibility to make his vision for education into reality. This will in turn make education in India remarkable by 2020.
