The moral values in Education

In our education system we don't give much importance to moral values. It just give us the basic subject knowledge and fails to teach the moral values. Is this a right education system? Do you think moral values should be imparted in our education system? A good education is something that gives overall knowledge to its learners. But the current education system mainly focus on subject knowledge rather than value education.

Education is most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world. Today many youngsters don't give respect to their elders, tell lies and are corrupted in many ways. Moreover school and college environments is full of competition and create jealousy thoughts among the students. To avoid such circumstances we should have moral education system developing moral qualities like truthfulness, honesty, courtesy, sacrifice and humanity among the students and young youths.

Moral education teach and develop positive attitudes among the young generation which induce them to raise voice against social iniquity. Moral education instill sense of cooperation and fellow-feeling among students in their young age itself. The need for value education is increasing as we witness with many assault and behavioral disorder cases. Best of all thing is character so moral values are extremely important that helps students to understand and apply those values in their day to day life.
