About Institution

The Bhaktavatsalam Educational Trust was founded by Mr.O.V.Alagesan, former Union Minister, in 1958, to commemorate the 60th birthday of Mr.M.Bhaktavatsalam, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.Both Mr.Bhaktavatsalam and Mr.O.V.Alagesan were Gandhians and visionaries, who have made immense contribution to Nation building Their desire to enrich young minds is ably supported by Mr.Vamanan, President, Bhaktavatsalam Educational Trust, an Engineering Graduate twice over. The trust set up in 1958, established the Brindavan Public School at Coonoor, followed by schools in Athur and Kodaikanal.

The Brindavan Public Schools have a proud alumni consisting of hundreds of distinguished professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, scientists and several top ranking civil service officers who encourage the present generation with their frequent visits to the School campuses.
