The B.S.Negi Mahila Pravidhik Prashikshan Sansthan, popularly known as ONGC Women Polytechnic was inaugurated on 27th June 1987 by Mrs. Shobhana Wahi, wife of Honorable Ex Chairman of ONGC, Col. S. P. Wahi under the agies of the Mahila Samiti of the ONGC as its patron. The establishment of this institution helped to meet a growing need for vocational technical training for women of Uttarakhand and near by States.
