The apostle of education, which is now, nothing less than a pronounced icon in the educational map of Madurai - C.E.O.A. Schools - originated through the social consciousness of the officers of Central Excise of Madurai and Tirunelveli. The felt need for a credible educational institution for their children took the shape of these renowned schools. The C.E.O.A. Matriculation Higher Secondary School at kosakulam and C.E.O.A. Masters School at Meenambalpuram have been catering to the educational needs of children of Madurai city for more than twelve long years.

The C.E.O.A. School at Kosakulam had a humble beginning but gradually it has made rapid strides to blossom into a beautiful monument attracting budding students to its fold. This metamorphosis occurred owing to the indomitable and pioneering spirit of Mr.M.Raja Climax and distinguished members of the Managing committee under the aegis of Officers working in Central Excise & Customs. They have organized themselves into a registered society by name CEOA Educational Society.
