The Chandbali is situated on the famous and holy river bank of the Baitarani. From the Early Medieval period up to the British period this place has enjoyed its importance in the field of trade and commerce and especially as port-town during the British period.
Chandbali College was born from the womb of a long-cherished dream seen by the local educated and conscious youths and elderly persons in 1979. For a brief spell of one year it was run in the Panchapara M.E. school. In 1980 the college was shifted to its own building. In spite of being a rural based college it started with a bang with a band of good and dedicated teachers under the able leadership and guidance of Dr. Minaketan Patra as Principal. This college has witnessed many a ups and downs through the corridor of time. In spite of that this temple of learning has grown from strength to strength during these 34 years and has created a niche in the educational field of Bhadrak (District)-vis-à-vis Odisha.
Chandbali College, Chandbali is one of the premier academic institutions in the District of Bhadrak vis-à-vis Odisha. It enjoys the reputation of being a temple of excellence in learning since 1970’s and is disseminating its ambience in the field of Science, Arts and Commerce in +2 & +3 level in a sylvan sprawling surrounding bequeathing a charm and fervour of a mini Santiniketan. The college has sufficient infrastructure with Depts. & Conference halls and has a good Library with reading rooms. The Science Laboratories are well furnished with equipments, computers & LCDs and the class rooms are comfortable. Facilities for all-round personality development are many: the Gym with modern gadgets, NSS, YRS, NCC (Naval Wing) etc. We also provide Hostel facilities for both girls and boys.
