About Institution

Chavara Public School, started in 1998, is owned by the religious community of the Carmelites of Mar y Immaculate (C.M.I.) at St. Vincent Monastery, Pala and managed by Chavara Educational Trust through a Managing Committee

The Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate is the first indigenous religious order of Catholic priests and brothers, founded in Kerala in 1831, by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara and his associates. The congregation took up education as a service to the nation in general and to the Catholic community in particular from the time of its founding fathers.

Chavara CMI Public School is a grooming centre for children to emerge as global leaders who envision a better and safer universe.
