The Christ Church Girls' Senior Secondary School had its nascent beginnings in the vestry of Christ Church
Cathedral in the year 1870 and was then known as Christ Church School. Our school today is 144 years old .
It was in 1869 that Rev. William Barker Drawbridge was appointed as the Chaplain of Christ Church. It was
he who laboured to fulfill a long felt need i.e. a School for European and Anglo-Indian children.
