It was due to the missionary and visionary Zeal coupled with concerted efforts of Rt.Rev. William Moses, the former Bishop of the Diocese, this institution came into existance in 1998-99 and ever since then it is making rapid strides to blossom into a full-fledged Engineering Institution. Now under the dynamic leadership of, the incumbent Bishop and Chairman, the institution is making an all out effort to achieve excellence in all spheres of its activities. Dr. J.George Chellin Chandran, the Principal of CSI College of Engineering has received his B.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in the year 1994 and M.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University in the year 2000 and completed his Ph.D in MGR Educational and Reseaarch Institute University in the year 2010. He got more than 18 years of Administration, PG teaching and Research experience. His current research interests include Digital image processing, Biometric Security, Wireless network, Mobile and Pervasive computing and Parallel Computing. Presently he is guiding 4 research scholars under Manonmaniam Sunderanar University. He is a member of ISTE, CSI, AIMA, IEEE, ACM, IACSIT and IE.The primary focus of the Institution is to expose the young minds to the world of technology, instilling in them confidence and fortitude to face new challenges enabling them to shine in their chosen fields.The CSI College of Engineering is approved by AICTE, New Delhi (F.No.730-52-301 (E)ET|97 dated NOV. 17, 1997) and Government of Tamil Nadu (vide GO Ms. No, 112, dated 23.3.1998) and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai (Tamil Nadu Act 26of 2001 w.e.f.31.12.2001). This college seeks to impart value based Technical Education to its students in order to meet the growing needs of ?such Technocrats and Entrepreneurs required in industries and business establishments.
