Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute Of Technology, also known as SMKFIT is located in the Thaiyur village near Kelambakkam on Old Mahabalipuram Road (IT Highway) 35km from Chennai, is spread over a sprawling area of 25 acres. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Established in 2001, the college aims to impart education that thoroughly prepare students for a professional career in any field of their choice. The college imparts courses in various branches of engineering at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses are conducted strictly as per the guidelines of AICTE. The college provides various state-of-the-art facilities for the overall development of its students. Master of Business Administration was introduced in the year 2009 - 2010. The college is certified with ISO 9001:2008 for imparting quality education and has also applied for accreditation to NBA for BME, CSE, EEE, ECE and IT branches.
