Dharmaprakasha D. Banumaiah's Polytechnic was started in the year 1983 and is functioning at Udayagiri extension, Mysore in a sprawling campus of 2.1 acres. The Polytechnic is affiliated to AICTE, New Delhi and Grant in aid with Karnataka State Government.The Polytechnic offers courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. The overall intake of 300 students caters to the need of socially & economically backward class students. The admission rules and procedures are reserved and standardized by the Management and Directorate of Technical Education, Karnataka State norms.
