Darshan Dental College and Hospital started in 1999 in the heart of Udaipur city of Rajasthan also famously known as the 'City of Lakes'. The college imparts education and training for 5 years leading to the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S). The college also offers Master in Dental Surgery (M.D.S) in all the specialties of dentistry, namely Oral Medicine, Diagnosis and Radiology; Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery; Prosthodontics; Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry; Community Dentistry; Periodontology; Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics; Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics and Oral Pathology. The College and Hospital are recognized by the Dental Council of India and affiliated to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences.The academic session starts in June. The College has a very well dedicated senior faculty (full time) as per guidelines laid by the Dental Council of India. Class room teaching is amply supported by theoretical, practical, clinical and field based teaching and training with extensive use of audio-visual aids. College is well equipped and has an excellent library.Darshan Hospital has a flow of a large number of patients belonging to both rural and urban areas. Most of the treatment is rendered free of cost in the hospital and it also caters largely to the nearby areas and towns of Udaipur district.Committed to excellence the institution has already made its presence felt at national level. The field Dentistry today has come far away from the days of extraction and dentures. With vast development in instrumentation and technical precision, dentists now specialize in several areas such as orthodontics, Prosthetics and so on.The Darshan Dental College has been founded to satisfy the following demand for highly qualified Dental Surgeons.There are several laboratories and lecture halls that have been set up to fulfill and surpass the requirement as laid down by the University and the Dental Council of India. All the laboratories have been designed and equipped with up-to date modern equipments to meet the new development existing around the world.
