D.A.V. Public School Kolkata was founded in 1988, when it was felt that complete and overall educational needs of children were not being met by existing public schools. It was decided that the mission could be best achieved through the creation of private independent institution and thus born D.A.V. Public School, Kolkata. Armed with a vision plus boundless energy and gaining credibility by the day giant strides were made and the young institution grew rapidly in enrollment, Quality and community recognition and soon out grew its place of birth and it become obvious that new was needed thus was born at Taratolla, Kolkata, W.B. Today after 25 years of foundation, D.A.V. Public School is recognized among the best CBSE schools in the city.
