DHARMA AYURVEDA MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL was established in 1997, by an eminent Varma Physician Dr.V.Dharmalimgam for promoting the growth and development of Ayurveda for evolving high standards of teaching, training and patient care and also to promote scientific outlook of Ayurveda. The College is recognized by Department of AYUSH, Government of India and approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi and affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University. Dharma Ayurveda Medical College is imparting the BAMS degree course. The College proposed to start Post Graduate courses in Ayurveda (M.D) and Diploma courses in Ayurveda Assistant /Nursing very soon.

Presently 300 BAMS students are pursuing their studies. 150 Ayurveda Doctors are successfully completed their studies and all are well placed in India and Abroad. Dharma Ayurveda Medical College is situated in a beautiful verdurous campus in Sriperumbudur - Newly developing Industrial area. It is Situated on the Chennai - Bangalore high way, well connected by Airport, Port, Railway station and nearby Sriperumbudur bus stand to facilitate. Sriperumbudur is the birth place of Sri Ramnuja, famous Saint and Social Reformer. The climate is in contentious. The Campus Environment is pollution free and peaceful with a relaxed atmosphere, all conducive to healthy education.

Dharma Ayurveda Medical College is functioning in a four storied academic block housing Teaching Departments, Laboratories, Museums, Lecture Halls, Computerized Modern Library and Administrative Office. A 160 bedded Hospital with OPD & IPD facilities , four VIP suits, Deluxe rooms, general wards and Pharmacy, Animal House, Panchakarma Unit, Water Reservoir, 24 hrs power back-up(125 KVA Generator), 2 hostel blocks with 250 seats capacity, staff quarters in a nearby area and 2 guest houses are in existence. It is proposed to construct a Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 persons in the ensuing academic year. All the departments, hospitals, laboratories, museums, pharmacy etc., are provided with the required Equipments, Instruments and Machineries to meet high standards.
