Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Optometry and Visual Sciences established in July 2005 as a constituent unit of Dr. D. Y. Patil University with the state-of-the-art facilities in terms of classroom, spacious laboratories, dedicated to creating a pool of theoretically sound and practically skilled manpower with human values.

To contribute to the health and welfare of the general population, by providing high- quality education through institutions that have dedicated faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure, also to develop complete professionals with the highest level of ethics.
