About Institution

Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 2007. Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan Mahavidyalaya has been established in the memory of world famous poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan, in Uttar Pradesh at Unnao, which is recognized by C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur with a view to imparting good education and instill confidence in the youth.
The founder of this college is “Kunwar” Ajay Singh, a passionate, energetic, innovative and dynamic person. He got inspired by the world famous poetries of Dr. Bachchan. Kunwar Ji, taking Dr. Bachchan as his ideal, decided to follow his messages in life .
He established a Mahavidyalaya in the memory of the great poet so that he may spread the great messages of his poetry among the new generation and keep his name alive for centuries to come.For various Post graduate courses and Thesis work Mahavidyalaya has tied up with various Indian Universities and Research Institutions.

Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan Mahavidyalaya being an educational institution strives to produce human beings those who can bring social change and make the world better to live. We prepare students to bring social transformation leading to desired mass movements to get desired liberation.Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan Mahavidyalaya will always make sincere effort for the overall development of the society. Under this sprit , the multiple streams have been put into forth . Simultaneously, the Mahavidyalaya management is making best possible efforts to bring proposed faculties .

Realising the great demand for trained professional manpower in the country , the management has focused itself towards professional education. The setting up of Law college is one step in this direction. Besides, some other branches are also going to be conducted in college campus including Management and Technology Institute, Medical Research Institute and Dental and Ayurvedic Institute.

Mission

The mission of this College is to provide University education in a better atmosphere to deserving students irrespective of their caste and creed.

The college aims at training young men and women to be leaders in all walks of life and serve their fellowmen with justice, truth and love. It is expected that this training would play a vital role in bringing about the desired change for the betterment of the people of our country, more particularly the poorer and marginalized sections of the society and Dalits. The college will produce an atmosphere of intellectual vigour in which the young men and women of our country may find their fulfillment and achieve greatness as eminent men and women for others.
